When inputing text in a cell, the input is not immediately visible, but only visible when I press Enter. This is quite annoying and I have to use the web version now.
This app is extremely fast - and while useful for me individually, is super valuable for my team. We dropped Slack as a result.
We dropped Slack and Google Docs after only 2 days of using Quip. Quip is somewhere in between but better, faster, stronger, and more social. In my organization, we create documents constantly. Prior to Quip, a lot of documents weren’t actually creating the level of awareness we needed across the team. Within Quip, when you create or modify a document, your team gets notified. When you want to bring attention to a document, you can @mention your team members by name within chat. Right now Quip is the only business productivity app that I, after two beers, insist to everyone else around me that they must start using it immediately. Game changing.
This is the only app I’ve used for work productivity that hasn’t created MORE work. So smooth and seamless when you’re moving between your desktop and mobile device. All I can say is you have to experience it to understand..
The app appears to be very buggy. They have a lot of work to do. I uploaded a simple PDF and a little updating circle was on the screen for several seconds before it loaded. Then, the status bar on the left took a snapshot of the loading file and now I continuously see a PDF loading on the sidebar. It is really not ready for primetime. Even the sign up process was buggy and had to sign up twice.
I really like a lot about the way Quip works over the way other collaborative editors do. Google Docs for example, is much slower overall, becasue of no local client, and has significantly worse accesability features. Quip is fast, simple and intutive. It also has some great integrations and is really easy for people to get set up with. It also has a great mobile experience and a great web experience. A few things they could work on: 1. Citations 2. Full or at least more full (equations especially) support of LaTeX 3. Better comment notifications 4. Smarter checklists All in all, I really like Quip and I hope they keep pushing forward.
Works fast. Easy to use. Great features. Excellent customer support.
This is 2 steps below of what you can do with Google docs. Sign up with them and your account will be hacked in no time.
Opened this applicaiton ONCE. Took me to a site that grabbed my address book and spammed everybody. Needless to say it is gone. I would advise against this app; also wonderin how Apple would allow such a app to go into its universe.
Great app to communicate with your team. The app has nice and easy to use interface.
Not sure the allure of this one. Cute and lightweight, but I can’t export and I cut, copy and paste. What’s the big attraction?
I have no idea about this app because I didn’t make it past the Privacy Policy, which basically only describes how you lose your privacy with this company. In this day and age, you’d think a business like this would be evolving with the times.
The app doesn’t allow you to log in. Freezes and doesn’t allow typing into the password field. Complete amateurs.
Downloaded with no expectations. Noticed I liked it for personal organization and note taking. Then, a colleague walked over my shoulder and asked what this app is and whether then have a good mobile app. Checked our mobile app, and it was AMAZING. Every minute I explored the desktop app, I found an amazing feature. I invited my team to join and everyone loves it. It was described as ‘Asana and Google docs’ - two apps I hate, but were forced to use, however with Quip, that is no longer the case. Love this app!
