Focus in the wrong areas..

Quip looks alright and functions well, I just think the focus is on the wrong area. I don’t need a “Slack” app just for documents, I need a document maker. Instead of building all of the messaging noise in, they could have focused on integrating full markdown support or other useful writing features.

That being said, I much prefer this to other apps like Google Docs for collaborative work that is not designed to be printed. I still tend to resort to Pages when I want to print the document.
